The season kicks off on October 21 with the highly anticipated Met-premiere production of Jake Heggie’s powerful story of redemption, Dead Man Walking, the most widely performed opera of the last twenty years, starring mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato and bass-baritone Ryan McKinny as Sister Helen Prejean and death-row inmate Joseph De Rocher.
