From: The Indeterminacy FestivalFounded in 2016 by Stanzi Vaubel, PhD, the festival creates site-specific, large-scale works inspired by unique environments such as grain silos, warehouses, fossil parks, and most recently, the historic porches of Nolan Park on Governors Island. The Indeterminacy Festival is committed to creating exceptional opportunities for lifelong artists, inviting an intergenerational ensemble of over one hundred community and professional artists to collaborate on the development and world premiere of these unique large-scale works.

Fourteen Porches in Concert
Originally premiered on Govenors Island in 2024, the Grace Chorale commissions this performance and live recording of FOURTEEN PORCHES for February 1st, 2025. The chorale will be joined by composers Stanzi Vaubel, cello, and Philippe Treuille, piano, in concert with a chamber orchestra.

Aboard the Lehigh Valley No. 79 barge in Red Hook the Indeterminacy Ensemble will perform Into the Charmed Churned Circle, our new work for choir and chamber orchestra.

Preview Loft Concert
Step onto the boat, and get your sea legs! This is a special opportunity to hear our first preview of "Into the Charmed Churned Circle", a nautically themed piece, performed by choir and chamber orchestra.
Performers include members of the Brooklyn Treble Choir, the Grace Chorale, the New York Choir Project, the Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale, and the Brooklyn Conservatory Orchestra.
Created in collaboration with artistic director Stanzi Vaubel and the Indeterminacy Festival, this preview performance showcases a developing choral and chamber composition for a June 2025 premiere at Snug Harbor Cultural Center.

Festival Fundraiser
Support and help fund our live recording of Fourteen Porches and receive a free ticket to the performance on February 1st, 2025!
We are pleased to announce that the Grace Chorale will perform and live record our work, Fourteen Porches, on February 1st at the St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn New York at 7pm. This special fundraiser evening will include performances by the Grace Chorale, pianist Jasmine Nagano, and Matthew Christakos, associate principal cellist for the NY Philharmonic. This event is hosted at the New York Arts Program
Additional performers include members of the Brooklyn Treble Choir, the New York Choir Project, the Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale, the Brooklyn Youth Choir, and the Brooklyn Conservatory Orchestra who will preview excerpts from our work-in-development "Into the Charmed Churned Circle". A night of music for choir and chamber orchestra, inspired by the heroic age of sailing and the tales of Ishmael aboard the Pequod.
Performers join us from the Grace Chorale, Brooklyn Treble Choir, New York Choir Project, and the Brooklyn Conservatory Orchestra.
Created in collaboration with artistic director Stanzi Vaubel and the Indeterminacy Festival, this preview performance showcases a developing choral and chamber composition "Into the Charmed Churned Circle" for a June 2025 premiere at Snug Harbor Cultural Center.
