The Egg has announced that Jonathan Richman will perform on Sunday, October 15th at 7:30 PM as part of the American Roots & Branches concert series.

A singer and songwriter who has stubbornly (and joyfully) followed his muse in a career that began in the early ’70s as leader of the punk rock band Modern Lovers, Jonathan Richman‘s solo career as an acoustic balladeer, is known for passionate tunes in Spanish as often as in English and purposefully naive music that revels in a childlike love of the world around him. Jonathan performs his one-of-a-kind songs accompanied by Tommy Larkins on the drums.
