To start off the year, we recommend visiting the exhibition, T. Lux Feininger: Magic Moments, on view at the Museum Lyonel Feininger in Quedlinburg through January 13. The exhibition highlights the life and career of T. Lux Feininger (1910–2011), the youngest of Lyonel and Julia Feininger’s three children. It traces his early artistic development from his childhood and his schooling at the Bauhaus in Dessau, where he was the youngest student, up to his mature work as an artist and teacher in New York and Cambridge, MA. Its focus on works in which Feininger blended realism with dreamlike scenes, often influenced by literature, offers viewers a closer look into the artist’s fertile imagination.
