From: Spirit Of The Suwannee Music ParkThe first week in 2023 will be very busy at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and Campground (SOSMP) with the Sun King Disc Golf Tournament Jan. 6-8, along with country artists Arlyn Willett Jan. 6 and Clint Anglin Jan. 7 in the Music Hall! Get the new year started right, sign up online to be part of the tourney Jan. 7-8, camp with us for the weekend and enjoy great music in the Music Hall Jan 6-7!
Famous country artist Arlyn Willett will entertain Friday night Jan. 6 in the Music Hall with music and songs. Arlyn traveled the US performing with his country band in earlier years but lives in Central Florida with his family now and performs mostly solo. Arlyn brings great music for listening or dancing!
Saturday night, Jan. 7, great country artist Clint Anglin takes the Music Hall stage with more country music! Clint is a country music singer/songwriter from the outskirts of Jacksonville where he grew up hunting, fishing and competing in rodeos, all of which is reflected in his music as he blends traditional country, western, Southern rock and blues.
Music is from 7-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights in the Music Hall, doors open at 6 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday, Jan. 7-8, Sun King presents Maggie’s Birthday Party Disk Golf Tourney supported by Innova. This B-tier PDGA-sanctioned singles tournament event will take place on the SOSMP’s renowned course through beautiful woodlands. This Tour del SOL Sunshine States Series event is open online to sign up if you meet the qualifications. Already dozens and dozens of men and women have signed up from Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. Several from North Florida, including Mary Brown of Raiford, Clayton Castner of Fort White, Nicholas Carlucci of Lake City and Kaleb Skinner, Joey Garrett and Peter Carlucci, all of Live Oak, will compete! Karaoke is also held each Thursday night in the Music Hall with Ted McMullen as host. Ted and karaoke singers entertain from 7-10 p.m. each Thursday night. Doors open at 5 p.m. (only on Thursday nights!) to the Music Hall for supper and a chance to visit with others before the karaoke begins. Bring your own CD or music or use Ted’s vast music library!
The SOS Café is open Thursday - Saturday for breakfast, lunch and supper. Live Music Friday and Saturday night in the Music Hall from 7-10 p.m. For reservations, please call the SOS Café at 386-364-1703 Thursday-Saturday. During live event performances, a minimum of $5 per person is required.
