From: Martha's Vineyard Film SocietyLOOKING FOR SUMMER PAID INTERNS!!
THE FILM SOCIETY
is looking for a few college students who want to make a difference in the MV community while learning more about the work of Non-Profits and the Entertainment business.
Recommend your offspring, grandchild, or a friend's family member. Must have their own island housing for summer.
The Martha's Vineyard Film Society, Inc. seeks a couple of Summer Interns for the months of June through September (availability through September 8th is a plus).
These are paid positions. Our hours of operation on primarily in the evening (after 6PM).
Our Interns are typically undergraduate students from universities, who's family has a home on MV. Interns with skills in Graphic Design, Filmmaking, Event Planning, or prior Arts-Based Non-Profit Experience are especially encouraged to apply.
Summer Interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the following ways: managing Box Office and Concession Sales, assisting with the management of a large membership database, growing the Social Media Presence of the Film Society, learning how to navigate public relations, filming and editing filmmaker Q&A's and interviews, running a Video Production Summer Camp, working on several film festivals, and working alongside professional nonprofit staff.
We also encourage undergraduate students who already intend to live on the Island this summer to apply. If a college student in your family will be here this summer, please consider having them apply for a Summer Internship with the MV Film Society.
If you are interested, please submit a resume to Dani Bauke at [email protected]
