THIS WEEK
Join us for conversation with your colleagues and peers this Friday. This is a place for you to connect with librarians across our district and discuss things that are important to you. This week, we also have a special guest to give you all the details on an upcoming project hosted by the State Library of Iowa. See more information below.
Please join us at 9:00 on Friday, March 17, by clicking the Zoom link below.
Our guest this month is Helen Dagley, who will talk about a really cool new project you can be involved in-a follow-up to our 2019 programs "Earth’s Bounty in Iowa: Then and Now."
We need your help with an oral history project, in which participants tell their own stories about growing up on a farm in Iowa. These recorded narratives will focus on the firsthand experiences of ordinary Iowans, rather than coming from a historical or scholarly perspective. We hope to add additional recordings and transcripts to Earth’s Bounty in Iowa: Then and Now on the IHDC website. https://www.iowaheritage.org/
Come to find out more about how you can be involved in this oral history project.
