Office hours for first quarter
Join me (Maryann) and other Central District librarians for an hour of networking on the third Thursday of each month. You can ask questions, share successes, and meet people from across our district.
Here's the schedule for the first quarter of 2023:
Mark your calendar and plan to attend! Simply click the link below to join.
ILOC--A full day of c.e. for you, your staff, and your board!
ILOC (Iowa Libraries Online Conference) is quickly approaching on Thursday, January 26. You won't want to miss it! The conference theme is all about "productive partnerships," and we have a fantastic schedule of speakers and breakout sessions for you.
The conference runs from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (a special session for library trustees concludes the evening). Come for all or part of the day! Click here for more details.
TIP: Consider making January 26 a "staff development day" so all staff can participate. You may also want to consider having an evening watch party for your trustees, so everyone can gather at the library to view the evening keynote session.
STEM Fairs & Summer Reading Summits!
Here's another c.e. opportunity to mark on your calendar: The State Library is conducting a 2-day event in each district with the first day being an all-day STEM fair and the second day being a Summer Reading Summit. The dates and location for our district are March 2 & 3 in Ames. See this notice for all the details and registration.
Note that the STEM fair is limited to 25 people, so don't delay in registering!
