Overview of Board Roles Video Series
Iowa library board members play a vital role to make sure libraries in our state operate well and within budget. In this series, watch six educational videos designed to give Iowa library trustees (or prospective trustees) an overview of the roles and responsibilities associated with serving on the board of an Iowa public library.
These videos (produced in the last year) are a great way to include a bite-sized snippet of CE in your monthly meeting! They follow the chapters of the Trustee's Handbook, and can be a starting place for great discussions by your board.

State Library Endorsement Program Audit
Lastly, the Director and/or Staff of your library may have completed the State Library Endorsement Program coursework, but did you know it is also available to board members to view?
Check out all courses on our YouTube channel! You can view the content without being formally enrolled in the Endorsement Program, and without having to pass the quizzes. You may be particularly interested in the modules on Library Foundations, Budget, and Policy.
