(SPOKANE, WASH) - Spokane Public Library is pleased to announce a series of upcoming candidate forums, providing residents an opportunity to engage with City Council candidates in Districts 1, 2, and 3 in partnership with the League of Women Voters. Additionally, Spokane Public Library is partnering with the Spokane NAACP and Thin Air Community Radio for a Mayoral and City Council President Candidate Forum and Town Hall.

The district forums are scheduled as follows:

District 2 City Council Candidate Forum
Date: Saturday, September 30
Time: 4:30pm
Location: Liberty Park Library

District 3 City Council Candidate Forum
Date: Friday, October 6
Time: 6:00pm
Location: Shadle Park Library

District 1 City Council Candidate Forum
Date: Thursday, October 12
Time: 6:00pm
Location: Hillyard Library

These events will feature the City Council candidates for their respective districts, offering attendees a chance to hear the candidates' visions for Spokane and participate in a moderated discussion with audience Q&A.

In addition to the district-specific forums, Spokane Public Library, in partnership with Spokane NAACP and Thin Air Community Radio, will host a citywide candidate forum for the City Council Presidential and Mayoral races:

Community members are invited to hear from and engage with candidates Nadine Woodward, Lisa Brown, and Betsy Wilkerson leading up to the 2023 election. Registration is required.

The event will be broadcasted live on Thin Air Community Radio, 88.1 and 92.3FM, and streamed at KYRS.org. An archive recording of the event will be available for future listening on demand at KYRS.org.
