From: Spice on Snow Winter Music FestivalCelebrate Mardi Gras a little early with us and bring some warmth downtown during the coldest month of the year!
The Spice on Snow Winter Music Festival returns after a 5 years hiatus!! This three day celebration of roots and folk music, from January 17th - 19th 2025, features outstanding nationally known Cajun and Old-Time musicians. There are concerts, dances, workshops, family events, jam sessions and free performances city-wide in Montpelier, Vermont.

Friday, January 17th
Kick off the festival with our headliner band and music throughout the downtown
Rose and the Bros, A powerhouse ensemble rooted in the dance tradition with the Cajun and country music influence from Ithaca New York (pictured above)
Location: Capital Plaza Hotel, at 100 State Street Montpelier, music, dancing and bar
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Atom and the Orbits play after the concert from 9:00 - 11:00 pm at Bent Nails Bistro
Saturday, January 18th
Saturday's Headliner: Music by Richie and Rosie, Rosie Newton and Richie Stearns are a dynamic duo performing music rooted in the Americana tradition
Location: Lost Nation Theater, 39 Main Street, Montpelier
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Saturday all day, music and workshops around town, including:
Cajun & Old Time Music Workshops - old time fiddle, old time banjo, double Cajun fiddle and Cajun/Zydeco Rhythms, and dance workshops at Monteverdi Music School
All around downtown, listen to local musicians play acoustic tunes - family friendly. Free or by donation, locations
Late night Cajun music from Pointe Noir at Bent Nails Bistro - 8:00 - 11:00 pm, donation at the door
Sunday, January 19th
Sunday Morning Community Sing-along with Heidi Wilson at Monteverdi Music School, Time
A MLK Jr. Commemorative Concert with the Montpelier Community Gospel Project, Montpelier Chamber Orchestra, and Shidaa Projects at City Hall Arts Center from 4:00 - 6:00 pm wraps up the three day festival!
