SIX SIGNS OF SPRING TO EXPLORE IN CLEVELAND METROPARKS
Spring has sprung across the Emerald Necklace. Explore the natural wonders April brings to Northeast Ohio with Cleveland Metroparks through wildflower hikes, blooming Cherry Blossom trees and more

1. BIRDS OF PREY AT ROCKY RIVER NATURE CENTER!

Birds of Prey Day at Rocky River Nature Center is a spring tradition. Stop by the nature center on Sunday, April 16, between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate the remarkable lives of owls, eagles, hawks and falcons. Enjoy live bird presentations from Ohio School of Falconry and Lake Erie Nature and Science Center, hikes with naturalists and crafts to take home. This event is free and no registration is required.

2. BLOSSOM WATCH

Blossom watch is on! Each spring, the cherry trees of Brookside Reservation burst with color and beauty. Stop by the Cherry Tree Grove during the warm weather this week or join a naturalist on Saturday, April 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. to learn about the history of these flowering trees, and how to track their development from buds to blossoms.

3. GOLF COURSES ARE OPEN!

All eight golf courses across the Emerald Necklace are officially open for the 2023 season. Sign up for a lessontournament, or make Cleveland Metroparks your home course with the new CrossCountry Mortgage’s Bonus Rounds Loyalty Program where golfers can sign up to receive discounts and perks at all eight courses.

4. PARTY FOR THE PLANET PRESENTED BY CROSSCOUNTRY MORTGAGE

It’s almost time to Celebrate Earth Day at the Zoo! Join us at Party for the Planet presented by CrossCountry Mortgage on April 22 for family fun and special programming including costume characters. Or sign up for the Earth Day 5K and race amongst your favorite animals.

5. SPRING MENU AT MERWIN'S WHARF

New spring menu is out at Merwin’s Wharf! Enjoy the caprese sandwich, falafel pita wrap, adobo quinoa bowl and more. The patio along the Cuyahoga River is now open for the season, weather permitting. Reserve your spot today.

6. WILDFLOWER WALKS

Join a naturalist for our spring wildflower series and hike along a scenic forest floor covered in hues of purples and yellows. Naturalist led hikes will run throughout April and May.
