Seven fantastic artists win first Suwannee River

Jam audition, move to Aug. 26 finals!

THE SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA – The first 2023 Suwannee River Jam solo/duo audition is history with seven fantastic artists winning and moving to the finals August 26 at The  Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park’s (SOSMP) Music Hall!

Moving to the finals are Lee Ann Purvis (Callahan), Rambler Kane (Jax), Katie O (Jax), Khloe Grace (Jax), Liz Faith (Ga.) Ben Strok (Jax) and Laney Strickland (Ga.). All seven will return to participate in the finals Aug. 26 along with 14 others expected to win and move forward in the other final two events for solo/duo auditions.

It was a night with great performances and many artists who had not previously performed on the SOSMP stage and others who were veteran entertainers here. Unfortunately, not all who audition can win due to only seven per event being chosen, but all gave wonderful performances approved by a house full of music lovers. The SOSMP was very honored to have all the great performers who participated.

Those two solo/duo events, all filled at this time, will take place July 29 and Aug. 12 in the Music Hall and all winners from each of the three events return Aug. 26 to see who will actually win the finals and perform at this year’s Suwannee River Jam set for Sept. 20-23! All band auditions take place in the Music Hall Aug. 5.

Be sure to mark these dates on your calendar, call the SOS Café at 386-364-1703 Thursday-Saturday and reserve your seating and be there when the doors open at 6 p.m. each night for these auditions! Auditions begin at 7 p.m. and could last until around 11 p.m.
