From: Sedalia CenterJanuary at the Sedalia Center
What a winter wonderland we've enjoyed this January! As we slush around outside, stretching our tired muscles and doing our diligent hibernation calisthenics, we thought we'd take this opportunity to say hello and (belated) happy New Year! 2025 is shaping up to be a big one for the Sedalia Center, and it's hard to believe another robust season of events is nearly upon us. And while the quiet months bless us with a sense of calm, you'll be glad to know we're hard at work making plans for the busy-ness yet to come. Keep your eyes on your calendars - you won't want to miss what this special quarter century year has in store!
2025 at a glance
We are so excited to announce this year's events schedule!
From the thunder of bagpipes pouring over our fair green hills every Celtic Festival, to the gently thrumming pluckings of banjo strings at Bluegrass, to the picturesque displays of locally grown larders at the Country Gathering - there's always something at the Sedalia Center. What's your favorite annual event?
Season Passes
Only $100! ($125 value!)
Season Passes to ALL of this year's events are now available for purchase for just $100 each! Talk about a golden ticket - your Season Pass gets you in to any and all Sedalia Center events, saving you money AND saving you the hassle of having to purchase individual tickets or keeping track of ticket purchases made online. Season Passes can be purchased in-person at the Sedalia Center, from our friends at the Bedford Welcome Center, or you can call the Sedalia Center office to purchase over the phone: (434) 299-5080
What's one of your resolutions for the new year?
We'll feature some responses (anonymously) on the Center's Facebook page! Your resolution may inspire others to resolve the same.
Countdown to Celtic!
Yes, the Celtic Festival marks the true start of our annual events season!
Stay tuned over the next few weeks - lucky us, it's gonna be a good one...
Cabin in the snow
Our dedicated team of cabin reconstruction volunteers has taken a well-earned break these last couple of chilly weeks, but they'll be back in action very soon. The cabin continues to come together before our eyes, and it's been especially beautiful to see in the snow.

On the right PATH
This past November, Sedalia Board members and staff gathered for an all-day session facilitated by an experienced strategic planner who uses the Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope (PATH) model. PATH captures graphics and text in real-time as the discussion proceeds. We've since been reflecting on all that brainstorming, and we've begun putting the PATH into motion!
We'll maintain the best of what we do now, while putting more focus on the needs and wishes of our community, gradually incorporating new and various programs, services, and amenities. By 2029, we plan to represent a welcoming destination for all of our community neighbors - a true community hub of North Bedford County. We look forward to your joining us on our PATH!
Big Island Elementary School Backpack Program
Our ongoing partnership with other local businesses and neighbors in our community supports the Backpack Program at Big Island Elementary School, providing young students of need in our area food staples to take home on the weekends.
You can still support our community programs even if you can't make it out to our events. Become a monthly sponsor to help us grow!
From all your friends at the Sedalia Center,
we wish you a very happy and bright New Year!
