The Greenbrier County Democratic Women’s Club has launched a grassroots petition demanding action to protect West Virginia’s farmland, support local growers, and defend rural communities from policies that put profits over people.

For generations, our farms have fed families, powered local economies, and shaped our heritage. But without bold leadership and community pressure, we risk losing them to corporate greed, unchecked development, and state-level indifference.

This is about more than farmland — it’s about food security, clean air and water, and the future of West Virginia’s way of life.
