RPAC Gallery, located at 410 Main Street, Ridgefield, is excited to present Artful Visions. Art heals both the artist and the audience. Healing devices for the mediation of physical, emotional and spiritual wounds have historically shaped the creative arts as icons, amulets and talismans to visionary journeys. Our 21st century world is facing forces determined to eradicate compassion, cooperation and community responsibility. Coupling that anxious trend, the Covid pandemic has brought disruption, and sorrow to many lives. The artists of the Artists Collective of Westport’s Gathering Group have created their individually unique healing devices to weave hope into the fabric of our lives, to reimagine, reconnect, and restore. Healing devices are as varied as their creators. At once beautiful, magical and syncretic, practical and abstract, these emblematic artworks call out to be held and admired, and become a focus for contemplation and inspiration. When brought into our lives and placed in significant spaces, they serve as reminders that we are healing our community and ourselves. As we bring these touchstones into our hearts, they become affirmations for our futures.

About The Artists

The Artists Collective of Westport is a group of creative individuals who have joined forces to discuss, create, and develop dynamic experiences for the Fairfield County community. The collective is open to all active artists in pursuit of expanding their careers and in developing a strong, diverse arts community. The Collective will bring together various creative practices in unique monthly forums hosted by the Westport Country Playhouse, in order to stage and present future events, Pop-Up exhibitions, and stimulating experiences that are open to the public.
