Six weeks of holiday activities to spread the Christmas cheer!

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Kick off the holiday season with us starting on November 23, 2024. Santa and his elves have decked out the Physick Estate with thousands of lights and holiday trimmings. Enjoy a free performance of holiday classics by the John Walter Cape Community Band as we join Santa in lighting the tree! More information.

Christmas Candlelight House Tour

This self-guided walking tour celebrates the best of Cape May at Christmas! Put on your walking shoes, dress in layers, then grab a flashlight, your wristband and map and go. Stroll along gaslit streets and visit homes, inns, B&Bs, churches and hotels, most within walking distance of each other, to see lovely interiors decorated for the holidays. This self-guided walking tour, centered in a 3/4-square-mile area of the Historic District, is Cape May’s longest running Christmas tour and Cape May MAC’s largest annual fund-raiser. Trolley Shuttles will not be offered in 2024. Instead, an Express Trolley will travel between the Emlen Physick Estate and the Angel of the Sea, and another between the Emlen Physick Estate and the West Cape May CVS area on evenings with properties located there. These Express Trolleys will pick up and drop off passengers only at their end points with no stops along the way as in years past (hence the “Express). Not to worry. The majority of properties are clustered in a 20-minute walking distance in the Historic District with many just a few minutes from each other. Purchase tickets here.

Holiday Lights Trolley Ride

Who can resist the twinkle of Cape May’s beautiful Victorian homes decorated for Christmas? This trolley ride through the historic streets of Cape May is a delight. Listen to Christmas music and enjoy hearing about the history of many of the Christmas traditions of today. Victorian Cape May is outstanding at Christmas and this is a ride to share with friends and family to revel in Cape May’s Christmas spirit. Trolleys are open-air. Blankets are recommended! Cape May MAC blankets are available for purchase at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth and the Physick Estate. Tour begins and ends at the trolley stop on Ocean Street. Purchase tickets here.

Breakfast with Santa at the Inn of Cape May
