From: Adams County Arts CouncilThe Adams County Arts Council, 125 South Washington Street, Gettysburg, will feature a collection of artworks by Links Community member artists in the reception hall, Foothills Artists in the Gallery and paintings by Ophelia Chambliss in the Studio during the month of March. A First Friday opening reception sponsored by Stuart and Paula Kravits is scheduled for Friday, March 1, 5-7:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
Paula Kravits, a Links resident, and organizer of the show, says this, “We have watched The Links grow into many vibrant neighborhoods with a wide range of ages. Our group is excited to share their artwork at the Arts Council.” The show features a wide range of mediums to include watercolor, photography, mixed media, paper crafting, oils, acrylics, and more.
The Foothills Artists are comprised of fourteen local artists who live in Adams and Franklin Counties. This exhibit at the ACAC’s AECenter will be the second time the group has shown together at the Arts Council under the Foothills Artists banner. The group coordinator, Debbie Westmoreland, says, “Being a part of this multi-talented group of artists inspires my creativity and encourages me to explore new techniques.” Geoffrey Thulin continues, “We are very excited to be showing together in the gallery and thank the ACAC for this opportunity.”
