From: Oklahoma Highland GatheringOklahoma Highland Gathering is a celebration of Scottish and Celtic culture. From internationally sanctioned highland games to the iconic pipes and drums, get ready to immerse yourself in all things Scotland.
Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy a taste of Scotland and other Celtic nations through the many activities and entertainers. To kick off the festival on Friday evening, USCO will host a traditional Scottish fire ceremony on the main field. Following the ceremony, a ceilidh (an informal social gathering with folk music, singing, dancing, and storytelling) will take place in the music tent.
Our festival is modeled after the Lonach Gathering and Braemar Gathering in Scotland. In addition to the IHGF-sanctioned games, you’ll enjoy pipes and drums, live performances from modern and folk bands, highland dancing, Gaelic lessons, whisky tastings, clan tents and ancestry resources, blacksmithing, lace tatting, falconry, highland cattle (heilan coo), vendors, food trucks, local beer and wine, and more!
