Barbara Ann Levine – age 73, beloved wife of Roger J. Levine of Seymour, died peacefully on March 9, 2025 at Griffin Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Derby on September 17, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Sergey and Olga Worobel Kowalsky. Mrs. Levine was a 1969 graduate of Seymour High School, and earned a Registered Nurse Degree from the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Pediatric Nurse for the Children’s Medical Associates Practice of Ansonia for 37 years, until the time of her retirement in 2013. Mrs. Levine was a lifelong valley resident, member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church of Ansonia and attended the Church of the Good Shepherd (St. Nicholas Parish) of Seymour. Also, she loved her sunset pontoon rides up in Maine, bird watching, loved her grandchildren and Cape Cod beaches, pierogi making, creating her beautiful Ukrainian eggs at Easter, and was an outstanding cook. She will be long remembered for her special love for her family, especially during holiday celebrations and their annual family “Pierogi Fest”.
