New Executive Director Joining Methow Arts
Methow Arts Welcomes Sarah Jo Lightner
We are pleased to announce that the search is over for our new Executive Director. Beginning April 1st, Sarah Jo Lightner will fill this very important role. Sarah Jo's vast experience in the arts and nonprofit leadership will help guide Methow Arts into a new era.
About Sarah Jo: Born in Missouri and raised in Nebraska, Sarah Jo studied agricultural economics at the University of Nebraska and silversmithing at Oregon College of Arts and Craft. She then worked in the restaurant business for 23 years, with 12 of those in Portland, Oregon. There she ran her own Creole restaurant, Acadia Bistro.
Sarah Jo moved to the Valley in 2010, built a silversmithing studio at TwispWorks, and became the mom of twin girls. Before joining Methow Arts, she served the community at Methow Recycles and The Confluence: Art in Twisp. Sarah Jo proudly serves on the board of directors for the Winthrop Music Association and the Twisp Chamber of Commerce. She is deeply passionate about creating healthy rural communities through arts and culture, and she is excited to be serving the Methow Valley again in this capacity.
Sarah Jo's passion for the Arts is evident and very contagious, and Methow Arts is thrilled to have her. Please help us welcome Sarah Jo!
