Join us for a brand new series!
Our exciting new series, New York on Film: Decade by Decade, invites you to travel through NYC history as seen on the silver screen. Explore how New York has been imagined by Hollywood studios as well as a diverse range of documentary, independent, and experimental filmmakers over the past 100 years. Each month, experience a new decade as the series celebrates the city’s singular mix of influences and aesthetics, peoples, and environments, from beloved classics to indie favorites and rarely-seen gems.
Curated by Jessica Green, the series accompanies our centennial exhibition, This Is New York: 100 Years of the City in Art and Pop Culture.
