Four Seasons of Central Park: Watercolors by Frederick Brosen
Pause in front of this new installation and take in a year of the life of Central Park. Through the meticulous and hyper-realistic watercolors by New Yorker Frederick Brosen, you’ll be transported to some of the the park’s iconic locations—each in the throws of winter, summer, spring, or fall—all from the Museum’s first floor. We invite you to contemplate this urban masterpiece through a landscape that is both changing and, seemingly, timeless.
About the Artist: A native New Yorker, Frederick Brosen studied at the City College of New York, the Art Students League, and Pratt Institute. His work is included in museum collections across the country, and he has taught at several prominent art schools. Currently he teaches at the Art Students League of New York.
