From: Museum Of The City Of New YorkThe first blooms of the season are up and buds are appearing on the trees across the street in Central Park—Spring is finally here! There’s a lot going on this month, as we prepare for our Centennial exhibition (see a sneak peek below) and present a dynamic roster of events.
We’ll be open special hours next week. Join us Tuesday, April 11 and Wednesday, April 12 from 10am–5pm in addition to our regular hours, and chock-full of activities for those on Spring Break. Read on to learn more or check mcny.org for the latest information.

The Museum worked with JFK and Terminal 4 as part of their art & culture program to create an extension of our triennial exhibition New York Now: Home. Read more about this partnership from ArtDaily, 6sqft, and International Airport Review.

What to do (with the whole family)
Spend your Spring Break at MCNY with STEAM activities, movies, story time and more—there’s something on every day. Monday–Wednesday, April 10–12, join MCNY X The Giant Room for drop-in STEAM workshops inspired by the exhibition Food in New York; we’ve partnered with the International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival to bring you a one-day screening event Thursday, April 13, featuring bilingual short films geared toward ages 5–12; and Friday, April 14, join a story time session at 10am with books about city critters and interactive activities for ages 18 months–5 years.

This Is New York: 100 Years of the City in Art and Pop Culture
Opens to the public Friday, May 26
In honor of the centennial of the founding of the Museum of the City of New York as the city’s storyteller, This Is New York: 100 Years of the City in Art and Pop Culture explores the many ways that the city has inspired storytelling. It features both famous and lesser-known images of New York in film and television, song and poetry, literature, visual and performing arts, and fashion, painting a collective, moving and even funny version of a city that has captured the imagination of the world.
