This November, explore our engaging exhibitions and dynamic programs, from food tastings to tasty treats on view. We're making it even easier, with more open hours. Bring the whole family 10am–5pm Sunday, November 20–Wednesday, November 23, and Friday, November 25–Monday, November 28. (Closed Thanksgiving Day).

Gingerbread NYC: The Great Borough Bake-off
Opens November 11

Explore culinary creations from all corners of the city! The Museum of the City of New York invited top bakeries and amateur bakers from across the city to enter Gingerbread NYC: The Great Borough Bake-Off—our first-ever holiday celebration of the communities in each of the five boroughs. Select bakers crafted gingerbread designs inspired by their respective neighborhoods, inspired by the theme "Winter in New York." Plan ahead—this sweet treat will be on view for a limited time, from November 11, 2022, through January 8, 2023.

Moonlight & Movies | The Automat
Wednesday, November 9, 6:30pm

Recount the lost history of the iconic restaurant chain Horn & Hardart in the award-winning documentary The Automat. Director Lisa Hurwitz will introduce the film, with appearances by Mel Brooks and Ruth Bader Ginsburg among others.
