The City of Santa Rosa Public Art Program is pleased to announce the installation of “Unum” by Blessing Hancock in Old Courthouse Square. This artwork sits on the unceded territorial land of the Southern Pomo People, past and present, and honors with gratitude the land itself and the people who have tended it throughout time. “Unum” (Latin for ‘oneness or together’) places emphasis on innovation, diversity, and engagement as leading values of Santa Rosa.

Your Story. Your Museum.

We recently broke ground on Sonoma County Stories, a permanent Sonoma County history exhibition. Agriculture and the environment are central to these stories, as they are for our community. This exhibition, scheduled to open in 2023, will capture Sonoma County's rich history, defined by a confluence of cultures and people and a powerful connection to the land.

The exhibition features stories representing the many diverse histories and cultures of the county, including founders and workers of the agricultural community. We hope that this exhibition will be a tool for current and future generations to come and learn the role agriculture plays in creating this beautiful place we call home, and how to preserve our bounty.

As part of our Annual Fund Drive, a portion of all donations will go towards the Sonoma County Stories exhibition. Through the month of December, your name will be added to the permanent list of donors to Sonoma County Stories for a contribution of any amount!
