From: The Dorothy and Charles Mosesian Center for the ArtsHappy holidays!
In these last weeks of the year, over a dozen religious, spiritual, secular, and cultural holidays and observances are celebrated — many of them focused on increasing light in this darkest period of the year. However you may celebrate and wherever and with whomever that may be - we at Mosesian Arts wish you a joyful season of peace and love!
Here, we’re focused on one more performance this month, registering students of all ages for winter classes, and inviting you to visit our current exhibitions. Come to see, learn, and experience it all at Mosesian Arts!
YULETIDE JAZZ | DECEMBER 21
Only a few tickets remain for Yuletide Jazz on Wednesday, December 21, with the Stan Strickland Quartet. Come celebrate the winter solstice as we help to light the world with music and merriment.
Berklee faculty artist Stan Strickland – singer, saxophonist, flutist, actor – has played with the Boston Pops, the Village People, Aretha Franklin, and jazz greats Yusef Lateef, Pharoah Sanders, and Herbie Mann, and he’s opened for Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, and The Barenaked Ladies.
WINTER ARTS EDUCATION
Our Education Department is offering over thirty performing and visual arts programs for kids, teens, and adults in the coming winter season!
Youth visual arts classes include Fiber Arts, Printmaking, Jewelry Making, the Art of Science Fiction and Fantasy, and more! In addition to traditional acting classes, youth performing arts classes include Shakespeare, Playwriting and Directing, and ASL Performance Ensemble, and our popular CYC program in technical theater.
Visual arts classes for adults include painting, drawing, printmaking, fiber arts, sewing, mixed media, and a special Visual Narratives class subsidized by the Marshall Home Fund in Watertown. Adult performing arts offerings include voice and improv.
Whatever your interest or experience level may be, we have a class for you!
