IMPROV AT MOSESIAN ARTS
If you love comedy, why not try it yourself?!
Whether your goal is performing on an improv team, building a toolbox of improv techniques, becoming a more confident and spontaneous public speaker, or simply meeting friends and having fun, improv fits the bill!
Our Adult Beginner II Improv class (beginning Wednesday) is for new and returning students with no or some improv experience. Our Adult Advanced Improv class (beginning Thursday) is for anyone who's been doing improv for a while. All classes are individualized for the students enrolled to expand and build new skills.
Also this month, we're hosting a Musical Improv Workshop. This two-hour workshop will introduce seasoned improvisers to the skills needed to start meaningfully incorporating music into your improv scenes! From warming up your voice, supporting your scene partners, and exploring your balance of self trust and silliness, get ready to launch into the world of improvised musicals!
Another of our popular Improv Jams is also coming up on April 21! Each jam features a short set by a local independent team followed by a jam session hosted by veteran improvisors. This is an inclusive, collaborative event designed to create community and fun.
Check out the variety of other youth and adult classes in performing and visual arts too!
IN OUR GALLERIES
Feminist Art: Contemporary Perspectives, inspired by the history of feminist art, is also very much contemporary, reflecting on current issues of body politics, women’s rights, and environmental issues. Themes of the body, particularly the bodies of women and trans individuals, and how it is viewed in today’s society are open to re-examination in several pieces. See it through May 3 only. Learn more
Exhibition sponsor is Siena Construction, a Cambridge-based full-service construction management firm. Siena specializes in renovations for life sciences and technology firms, healthcare, commercial and tenant spaces, academic campuses, retail, hospitality, the arts, and nonprofits.
