Museum Reopens Every Sunday

September 8th through December 22
From 12 to 3 pm

The Crane House & Historic YWCA Museum will be open every Sunday for self-guided tours. Admission is $8/person; children under 2 are free; MHC members free. Specialty guided tours are offered once a more, details below.

Fall Heirloom Bulb Sale Fundraiser

Our Bulb Fundraiser is back! With a nod to our Dutch "Speertown" roots, we’ve got heirloom bulbs for your garden. These are the varieties you may have found in Montclair gardens back when our houses were newly built, from the late 1700s up through the 1950s. Have fun and try something new/old!

Guided House Tour: Many Voices,
Sunday, September 15th
12, 1, or 2 pm

This interactive tour is designed to share the many voices that are part of Montclair’s rich history, using the Crane House & Historic YWCA as a window onto different time period.

Admission is $12/adult; $10/student/senior with ID; $8/child; under 2 free. MHC members are free.  No registration required. Free admission programs: Families First program, military personnel, NARM, MHC members and Montclair students.

Chow Town Food Tours: Montclair Food Tour of Walnut Street

 Saturday, September 21st at 3 pm
Montclair History Center is partnering with Chow Town Food Tours and Experience Montclair to bring this food and history tour to Walnut Street. Proceeds benefit the Montclair History Center for this tour.

Fall Fest with Montclair History Center & Montclair Community Farms
(rain date September 29th)

Enjoy a fun-filled day for all ages full of delicious food and fall activities in our beautiful gardens and farm. Taste food and drinks from local vendors, shop naturally sourced products from local artisans and creators, meet farm animals, and jam out with live music from Montclair’s own School of Rock!  Purchase your tickets here. Early bird pricing through September 15th. Admission includes one free beverage.
