Lewis Burns is a Tubba-Gah Wiradjuri man born and living in Dubbo, NSW, Australia. He has been sharing Australian Aboriginal cultural art, presentations, and performances for decades. Jamie McLennan, Xavier Wells, and Jamal Wells have joined Lewis on past tours through Europe and the US; their songs inspire joy and connection.

PLATICAS (DISCUSSIONS)
Join Dr. Alex Saragoza as he discusses why it took Spain so long to colonize Alta California and the implications of the Spanish period for the coming Mexican and Early American eras.
The CAMINOS exhibit highlights some key figures in each of the eras and will be augmented through a series of monthly pláticas (discussions) led by Dr. Alex Saragoza and invited leaders and authors who have lived and documented this history. Dr. Saragoza will initiate the series on Sunday, August 27 from 1-3 pm. with the first plática to introduce the beginning of the camino, coming to Alta California in the Spanish and Mexican periods. Subsequent pláticas are scheduled for September 24 and [email protected]. FREE to the public. TOUR the CAMINOS exhibit just before the plática at noon.

After School Arts - Fall 2023
After school art classes will be held at the MAC on Thursday afternoons from 4:00 to 4:55 pm (Beginning Painting) and from 5:00 to 5:55 pm (Beginning Drawing). These classes are suitable for children 6 to 16 years of age. Begins September 14!
