Following the release of the Maryland Board of Revenue Estimates’ updated revenue projections, Maryland Democratic Party Chair Ken Ulman released the below statement:

“Donald Trump’s recklessness is having a ripple effect across the states, especially here in Maryland,” said Maryland Democratic Party Chair Ken Ulman. “Thousands of federal workers in our state are now out of work, and critical federal programs – like Medicare, Social Security, and cancer research – are on the chopping block.”

“Crafting a state budget is difficult in normal times – and these are far from normal times,” Ulman continued. “But while Donald Trump sows chaos, Governor Wes Moore, President Ferguson, and Speaker Jones are showing leadership and working together to protect Marylanders from these disastrous federal cuts.”
