Mayes County Fair where we annually celebrate our Northeastern Oklahoma heritage, culture and community by providing wholesome family fun, great entertainment, friendly competition and educational experiences for the whole family The Fair is where agriculture, industry, education and recreation unite in a cooperative effort to dynamically portray the resources and accomplishments of the Mayes County Area.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 30, 2024

6:00-6:45: Check in

7:00 PM: Horse/Mule Timed Events-Arena

SATURDAY, AUGUST 31, 2024

6:00-6:45: Check in

7:00 PM: Horse/Mule Performance & Halter Classes-Arena (Including nominated classes)

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2024

8:00 am: Check in HCE

10:30 AM: Judging HCE

3:00 - 7:00 PM: Enter 4-H, Youth, Open Class, Floriculture, Crops, Agriculture, Open Photography exhibits – EVENT CENTER

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2024

8:00 AM- 5:00 PM: Market Goats, Lambs, Breeding Does

9:30 AM-5:00 PM: Judging of 4-H, Youth Open Class, Floriculture, Horticulture

10:00 AM: Tractor Driving Contest

4:00-5:00: Check in 4-H Pullet Project

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Check in Broilers

6:00 PM: Judging of 4-H Pullet Project

6:00 PM: Weigh Market Lambs, followed by Meat Goats

7:00 PM: Judging of Broilers in Show Barn

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2024

3:00 PM- 8:00 PM: Check in all Market Swine, Bred & Owned

8:00 AM: Showmanship, Judging of Bred and Owned followed by Judging of Market Lambs, Crops, Open Photography, etc (Event Center will be closed during judging)

5:00 PM: Event Center Open

5:00 PM: Judging of Bred & Owned, Does, Showmanship Market Goat Show

5:00 PM: All Dairy and Beef must be in place

5:00 PM: Checking in of Beef Heifers and weighing of Commercial Heifers

7:00 PM: Weighing in of Market Steers and County Raised Steers EveningCarnival

8:00 PM: All Hogs must be in place

10:00 PM: Event Center Closes

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2024

8:00 AM: Weigh-in all Swine

8:00-8:30 AM: Check in Rabbit Entries

9:00 AM: Judging of Rabbits

9:00 AM: Event Center Opens for Viewing of Exhibits

12:00 PM: All nominated Horses for Premium Sale must be in place

1:00 PM: Judging of all Jr Dairy followed by Showmanship, Dairy Pee Wee Showmanship

2:00-7:00 PM: Poultry Entries (Exhibit Birds)

4:00 PM: County Raised Performance Steers followed by Mini Herefords, Judging of Jr Market Steers, Showmanship followed by Beef Heifers

10:00 PM: Event Center Closes

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2024

8:00AM: Judging of Poultry Exhibits

8:00 AM: Bred and Owned, Judging of Swine under 190# & over300#followed by Market Swine, Showmanship, Pee Wee Fun Show

9:00 AM: Event Center Opens

1:00 PM: Poultry Showmanship Red Barn

6:00 PM: 4-H and FFA Livestock Judging Contest

10:00 PM: Exhibit Building Closes

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2024

10:30AM: CowboyChurch

12:30 PM: Beef Proficiency Written Test

12:30 PM: Judging of Pee Wee Beef Showmanship, Sheep Pee Wee Showmanship and Pee Wee Goat Showmanship

1:00PM: Event Center Opens

2:00 PM: Beef Fitting Contest

2:30 PM: Pedal Pull Contest

3:00PM: Doe Fitting Contest

3:00 PM: Poultry Awards Presentation in Show Barn

3:30 PM: Pet Show (Sign In)

4:00 PM: Pet Show –Show Barn

4:00 PM:  Release of all animals not in premium sale

5:00 PM: Release of all indoor exhibits & placing checks

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2024

9:00 AM ALL EXHIBITORS IN THE PREMIUM SALE MUST REPORT TO THE SHOW BARN FOR SALE SET UP WE WILL CALL ROLL AT 9:00AM AND THEN AGAIN AFTER SET UPISCOMPLETED YOU MUSTBE PRESENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PREMIUMAUCTIONMANDATORY, NO EXCEPTIONS!

2:00 PM: Tom Giles Beef Proficiency Interview

6:00 PM: Awards Presentation - Show Barn

7:00 PM: Premium Auction - Show Barn
