Out-of-state billionaires are funneling millions into Maryland to flip control of the Senate to Republicans 

Maryland leaders are blasting Republican Larry Hogan’s super PAC for blanketing the state’s airwaves with mean-spirited, deceptive advertisements about Democrat Angela Alsobrooks’ record. Hogan and his super PAC, Maryland’s Future, is heavily bankrolled by GOP mega donors, billionaire Trump supporters, and Project 2025 authors who want to flip control of the U.S. Senate to Republicans.

“Representing the people of Maryland in the United States Senate is a special responsibility. I’m proud to have served as senator for nearly 18 years. As others step up to fill this seat, it’s important that the focus remains on Marylanders and the issues they care about most,” said Senator Ben Cardin. “What we do not need are mean-spirited, MAGA-laden ads from entities only intent on tearing down candidates with ugly innuendo. If Larry Hogan truly rejects Trumpism, he needs to reject all of it. He cannot preach civility and accept such degenerate support. I’ve watched Angela throughout this campaign. Angela is the one. Angela is the candidate for this moment, and Angela is the person who I will continue to fight for to make sure that she is my partner in the congressional delegation as we continue to do big things for the people of this state.”
