10:00am-5:00pm - Hogwarts Lego Display and Magical Items Sale
Location: Art Kit Shop
During the Festival of Illusions, young wizards are invited to the upstairs Art Kit Shop to see a special display of a model of a Hogwarts Castle, built from Lego. They’ll also find a collection of handmade “magical gear” like wands, invisibility cloaks, broom sticks and magical stones. All proceeds will go to the Cultural Center’s popular Art Kit program, which began during the COVID shutdown to provide creative relief for local families. To date, the program has distributed more than 20,000 kits to the north Lincoln County, free or by donation.
10:00am - The Shaky Grounds Cafe Pop-up Escape Room
Location: Outside
A major earthquake has devastated much of the Pacific Northwest. Desperate for coffee, you decide to scavenge the remains of your local cafe, in the hopes of finding some coffee beans and other supplies. But don’t get caught outside after curfew or you’ll have much bigger problems than your caffeine withdrawals. In this exciting and immersive 60-minute escape game, family and friend groups are challenged to solve over 20 puzzles about emergency preparedness, developing real life skills and having fun. Use your wits as you try to solve this 1-hour escape room all about emergency preparedness. This pop-up escape room experience will be on site at the Lincoln City Cultural Center.
7:00pm - Fly Through Time with Leapin’ Louie
Location: Auditorium
Laugh and learn at “Fly Through Time: The History of Flight on Earth.” Leapin’ Louie uses cowboy tricks, a six-foot unicycle and lots of comedy to explore all the wild critters who fly (including us). He’s performed his physical comedy in 35 different countries around the world — now he’s soaring in to open our 2024 Festival of Illusions.

Lucky Luke has been performing family friendly magic shows for over 20 years in the Pacific Northwest. Whether you’re 5 or 95, he’s got a trick to amaze you or a joke to amuse you. By the end of the night, you’ll be smiling and scratching your head – wondering how someone could be so lucky. Joining him on stage will be special guest Lucky Levi. He is an up and coming star who recently won the Ray Grant Memorial Award for Originality, Showmanship, and Creativity at the Northwest Magic Jamboree (and also happens to be Lucky Luke’s son.)

10:00am-Noon - Boredom Busting Balloon Workshop with the Magical Mr. B
Location: Auditorium
Are you prepared for fun? Bust that boredom at this all ages workshop, where The Magical Mr. B. will teach you to make several different, fun, balloon sculptures and one over the top, crazy sculpt! Best of all you get to take everything home that you make!. Your instructor is The Magical Mr. B an award winning balloon artist who loves to teach others to twist awesome balloons. Classes are 60 to 90 minutes long, depending on the number of students. Pre-registration fee of $15 covers all balloons (pre-filled with an air pump) and instruction. Limited to 75 participants.

The Maker’s Place is celebrating the 12th Festival of Illusions with a Magic Art Workshop, open every weekday during Spring Break from 2 to 4 pm. Krista is conjuring up amazing projects like stop-motion animation with modeling clay, watercolor resist painting, magic rice rabbits, disappearing color magic tricks and wand making. Or just get busy at an open Invention Station. The Magic Art Workshop is designed for kids ages 5 through 15, but all are welcome. Admission is $5 per artist. Kids 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Commander Salamander’s Super Circus Sideshow is coming to the Festival of Illusions! There will be chills and thrills as Commander Salamander, Buttercup Firefly and the rarely-seen Squid Dog perform a wildly exciting show for you. They will perform acts like Cowboy trick roping, precision bullwhip cracking, world famous knife throwing, sword swallowing and more! Plus the show is chock full of safe and exciting audience participation. Here’s your chance to run away and join the circus, with Commander Salamander’s Super Circus Sideshow.

Her show culminates with all those wanting to be in the circus invited to join in ribbon spinning and scarf juggling.

Location: Auditorium
Alex Zerbe the Zaniac has appeared in three national television shows, holds two Guinness World Records and has sung in over 12,000 showers. With the energy of 10,000 suns, The Zaniac shines like a comedy beacon as he bounces from one end of the stage to the other like an untamed rubber band. Jaws will drop and eyes will pop as Alex juggles bowling balls, flaming torches and slices vegetables in half with a flying playing card.

Immerse yourself in a world of comedy, storytelling and illusions with Taylor Kyle, The American Mystifier. Known for his interactive shows, Kyle has performed hundreds of live events across the Northwest for companies like Amazon, Starbucks and Indeed. He was introduced to the world of magic and hypnosis by his childhood friend, John Bowe, who helped him find his true calling to live a life of magic and mystery. Expect a special evening of magic and mentalism.
