AARP Driver Safety Course

Monday, June 5, 9 am - 1 pm

$20 for AARP members, $25 nonmembers

The AARP Smart Driver™ course will help you refresh your driving skills. Learn more about driver safety strategies, accident avoidance, and defensive driving. Completion of the course may help you save on your auto insurance! Space is limited; registration required. Checks payable at door.

Pizza and the Pops: A preview of Norwalk
Symphony’s Pops in the Park Concert
Wednesday, May 31
lunch noon; program 12:30pm, free

Jonathan Yates, Music Director and Conductor of the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra, will discuss and play pieces from this season’s chosen theme, “A Night in Hollywood,” featuring music from film and television classics. Sandra Miklave, Executive Director of the Norwalk Symphony will share information about the Symphony’s Pops in the Park program.

Tick talk: one bite could change your life - protect yourself from tick borne illnesses
Tuesday, June 6, 1 pm, free

Dr. Ruszkowski of New Canaan and Shannon Vallerie, Health Program Planner for the New Canaan Dept. of Health will discuss tick facts, understanding risks and tick bite prevention. Lyme disease is the most prevalent tick-borne disease in Connecticut, deer ticks may also carry pathogens which cause other serious illnesses.
