A Night to Remember - Book discussion with Stephanie Stiles

Join Steph for a lively discussion of Walter Lord's 1955 non-fiction best-seller, still considered the definitive resource about the RMS Titanic. Lord interviewed 63 survivors of the disaster and drew on books, memoirs and articles written about the April 15, 1912 sinking of the "unsinkable" ship. Copies available at New Canaan Library.

Urgent Mental Health Care Assessment Presentation
Monday, April 10, 11 am, lunch immediately following, free
Dr. Andrew J. Gerber, Silver Hill’s President and Medical Director, will discuss the new, New Canaan Urgent Assessment program. The Town of New Canaan has partnered with Silver Hill Hospital to provide adults, children and adolescent residents in urgent need of mental health treatment with a timely psychiatric assessment and tailored referral for ongoing care with no out-of-pocket cost. Join us to learn more about this valuable resource available to all residents. Lunch will be served immediately after the program.

The film is based on his childhood memoirs in turn of the 20th century Provence. A vibrant, rhapsodic story of family love and warmth set in the beautiful hills of the south of France. Presented by Claire Volain, Claire has been in the non-profit healthcare field for ten years. For the past four she has been at the Southwestern CT Agency on Aging providing information, supports and services for older adults. She currently supervises the CHOICES program at SWCAA that provides free, unbiased Medicare information.
