COME TO LAPHAM CENTER AND HELP CELEBRATE WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH

The Connecticut Historical Society will present, Rosie the Riveter. This women became an iconic image of working women during World War II. But what was it really like for these trailblazers? We’ll look at propaganda posters, art, music, photos and hear real-life accounts of Connecticut women who worked for victory in the war.

Pet First Aid with Dr. Meredith Miller,

A Night to Remember - Book discussion with Stephanie Stiles

Thursday, March 30, 1 pm, free

Join Steph for a lively discussion of Walter Lord's 1955 non-fiction best-seller, still considered the definitive resource about the RMS Titanic. Lord interviewed 63 survivors of the disaster and drew on books, memoirs and articles written about the April 15, 1912 sinking of the "unsinkable" ship. Copies available at New Canaan Library.
