Meditation Exploration with Casey, 9:30 a.m.

Fridays, January 6 - February 17

Chinese medicine practitioner Casey Helen Potetz, will lead us through various meditation styles. Casey holds a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and is passionate about sharing ancient forms of medicine for healing and longevity.

The Art of Drawing

Join us for an exploration of Jane Austen’s renowned novel Emma. Considered Austen’s “most perfect” novel.

Stephanie Stiles, novelist and former British literature professor, will guide these discussions.

NEW

KINIMA Virtual Fitness Trainer

Lapham is excited to announce our partnership with Renee Migdal, co-founder of KINIMA, a virtual fitness trainer. Renee was recently awarded a grant through the National Institute of Health (NIH) to provide an interactive mobility coach for fall risk measures and well-being for seniors through guided exercise with a side-by-side view.

The program will be Free but it requires a commitment of 45 minutes, twice a week, for ten weeks. The virtual trainer provides a 3D tech fitness platform on a monitor creating a personalized mini gym with real-time feedback. Interested seniors will need to be pre-screened to determine eligibility. If you are interested in this program, please email us or call 203-594-3620

CT Dept. of Health COVID treatment recommendations

In order for COVID-19 treatments to work, they must be started within five days of when symptoms start. Everyone age 65 and older should be treated for COVID. If you are 50 and older with underlying medical conditions, particularly if you are unvaccinated, treatment for COVID can reduce the risk of hospitalization or death.
