The Lakeshore Art Festival features a unique blend of fine art, handcrafted goods, music, food, and fun in beautiful Downtown Muskegon, Michigan. Experience nearly 250 juried fine art and specialty craft exhibitors, a Children’s Lane, artisan food market, street performers, interactive art stations, and so much more!

In 2023, the festival hosted the #LAFRocks Public Art Project. Six local artists were selected to create artistic masterpieces out of small boulders. The final artwork was displayed throughout the festival footprint, and guests were encouraged to visit each one – click here for the map. In addition, Muskegon Museum of Art hosted a rock decorating booth in the roundabout at Western Avenue and 3rd Street. The public was invited to get creative by painting a small stone. This was an effort to spread art, kindness and positivity throughout West Michigan!


The Lakeshore Art Festival features a street party atmosphere that highlights many forms of artistic expression including acrobatics, acting/theatre, balloon making, comedy, dancing, juggling, magic, music, poetry, etc.
