Join our Reading Run the morning of August 19th from 10am-12pm, out front of the museum, to cross the finish line of Kidzu's Summer of Stories, and head back to school ready to learn! Featuring author- illustrator Darren Farrel, a 2024 NC Children’s Book Award Nominee.

Garden Party: Bookworm Blast

Friday, August 18th from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM. This is a FREE event.

Celebrate literacy with Kidzu! Listen to story time with local author Darren Farrell, get your very own poem from the Poetry Fox, make some crafts, and participate in family-friendly activities. Plus, enjoy live music by Meadowlark Music!

2023 Fall Benefit: An Evening of Play

September 23rd, 7 – 10 PM at Chapel Hill Country Club

Join Kidzu in beating the summer slide by attending a sampling of weekly and monthly literacy programs for the whole family! Children can pick up a Story Stroll activity sheet that records their participation and offers prizes along the way! Come celebrate summer with a host of local authors and multilingual readers!

Friday, September 1st from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This is a FREE event.

Join Kidzu’s Makery team every first Friday for FREE themed STEMonstrations! STEMonstrations will take place at 3 PM-3:45 PM and 4-4:45PM, but admission is free all day. This month, join Kidzu’s Makery team for STEMonstrations about Wonderful Wildlife!

Jammin' Baby

Tuesdays and Fridays starting September 12th from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. This is a paid event. Register here through Jammin' Baby's website.

Come experience music and movement for ages 0-5 and their caregivers. This program offers songs and rhythmic rhymes, including fingerplays, small- and large-movement activities, and instrument play. Facilitated by Jammin’ Baby, LLC.
