Level Up Gaming Using LEGO Materials

Saturday, June 10th @ 3 PM - 4:30 PM| $45/child 

Come and join our exciting “offline” video game experience where we give the controllers a rest and put your building skills to the test as we bring your favorite characters from the virtual world to the real world. Using LEGO®, we will build worlds for Mario to jump through, mechanisms to make Sonic spin and take down Robotnik, as well as your own custom Smash Bros. arenas to battle in. Under the guidance of a Play-Well instructor, you will gear up to take down the final boss. Are you game? 

This workshop is for children ages 7-12 and is hosted by Play-Well Teknologies at Kidzu Children’s Museum.

Join Kidzu’s early childhood educators and explore our newest addition to the museum, The Nest! Each session includes time for child-directed play, collaborative art and STEM projects, and group story time.

Mandarin Storytime

Sunday, June 11th @ 2 PM

Included with admission!

 Join us for Mandarin Storytime with Wei Song! Read, sing, and play! Come learn about Chinese culture and language. This program is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. Stories will be told in both Mandarin Chinese and English.

Hip Hop Workshop

Saturday, June 10th @ 10 AM - 11 AM

FREE for the public! 

Join the American Dance Festival at Kidzu for a Free hip hop workshop led by Jose Velasquez! Jose is a hip-hop and street dance performer from Durham, NC. This event will take place inside University Place Mall.

Junior Gardeners

Thursdays  @ 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM

FREE for the public!

 Explore the garden, get your hands dirty in the dig plot, participate in hands-on activities, and more! Help Kidzu care for our garden at this Free informal, drop-in event for caregivers and their children. Storytimes are scheduled at each session!
