Print Public - Municipal Artist-in-Residence Opportunity
Berkeley Civic Arts is partnering with Kala on a second round of the Print Public municipal artist-in-residence program. Two artists or artist teams will be selected to be this year's cultural strategists working with the City of Berkeley's Planning Department. This is an exciting opportunity for artists to creatively engage with either the City's long term planning efforts for the San Pablo Avenue corridor or with the City/s Climate Action Plan. Selected artists will receive $9,000 (and an additional $1,000 for materials) and a 16-month residency at Kala with 24/7 access to Kala's printmaking studio, digital lab, darkroom, and other facilities. The deadline is Friday, November 18, 2022.
