From: Kala Art InstituteArt Kala 2023 Auction Preview Party
It's auction time! To kick off Art Kala 2023, please come join us in the Kala gallery Thursday, March 30 from 6-9pm for a FREE night of art, food, and festivities.
The preview party is a chance to celebrate the Kala community, catch up with other artists and friends, and be the first to bid on the silent auction items. Kala staff and artists will be whipping up tasty, small bites. DJ Robin Applewood will be back and we'll have plenty of beer, wine, and ART!
We're looking forward to celebrating Kala's 49th anniversary and annual auction benefit with you. Bring your friends and family - all are welcome!
And don't forget to pick up your tickets for the live auction closing party on Saturday, May 13!

Spring Break Art Camp: Clay Exploration @ Kala
Spring Break Art Camp: Clay Exploration @ Kala
Grades: 2nd- 6th (ages 7-11 yrs)
Dates & Time: Monday- Wednesday, April 3-5, 9am-noon
Instructor: Natalie Palms
Location: Kala Community Classroom
During this clay class, we will take inspiration from artists in the past and present using air-dry clay and paint. Participants will explore ceramist Betty Woodman’s painterly Divided Vases, in order to create a vase that connects two ideas using painting and form to convey a message. Participants will also learn how to express a feeling through their artwork by combining physical features with a domestic object like contemporary artist Woody De Othello. Each day we will allocate time to build freely after the guided lesson. All artwork will be sent home on Wednesday. Join us and have fun making art with clay!
Tuition includes all materials and a light snack each day during our morning break but please bring any additional snacks and bottled water.
