From: City Of GaithersburgGaithersburg, Md. -- Gospel music, the uniquely American art form that gave rise to jazz, blues, R&B, and rock and roll, will be celebrated to the highest as the City of Gaithersburg presents the 19th Annual Jubilation Day Gospel Concert. On Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 3 to 7 p.m., the Concert Pavilion at City Hall will host performances of all styles of Gospel, Christian and uplifting music by local and regional artists.
Make a day of it by getting a meal at one of the area restaurants, bringing your own favorite food, or purchasing from on-site food vendors. The event will also feature an acknowledgement of the upcoming Juneteenth Holiday.
This year’s event features The Chosen Vessels, a local group from Damascus, MD. The group was inspired by God to praise his name in song. They have been singing together for more than fifteen years and love winning souls for Christ. The group’s most requested songs, which they have performed throughout Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., include “What a Fellowship,” “I Learn to Lean,” “I Found Faith in Jesus Christ,” and “Sweet Spirit in This Place.”
Gaithersburg’s Concert Pavilion is located at 31 South Summit Avenue in front of City Hall. Admission to Jubilation Day is free. The outdoor venue features lawn seating with limited chairs. Please feel free to bring your own low chair or blanket. The celebration will also feature food and crafts for purchase and giveaway drawings for fun prizes. Winners must be present.
The event is sponsored in part by the Maryland State Arts Council, Allied Party Rentals, and Subway of Olde Towne.
