Volunteers needed for the AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival this weekend, August 4-5!

JAHA's signature event, the AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival, needs you! We're looking for volunteers to work 3-hour shifts in the box office, pubs, merch tent, and ID scanning. All volunteers get free admission the day they work! If you can help, email Deb Winterscheidt with contact information and general info about your availability, and she'll be in touch to arrange a mutually convenient day and time.

Kids' Cultural Cooking: School Lunches
Saturday, August 12; noon at the Heritage Discovery Center

Get ready for back to school by learning about school lunches around the world! We will read “Lunch Around the World,” by Jeanette Ferrara, explore multicultural school lunches, and learn to make tacos and sample other lunch staples! Reservations aren’t required, but space is limited; online sales end at 10 am on the day of the class. Space permitting, admission is also available at the door.

Tickets are $7 for JAHA members, $10 for non-members.
