FALL 2023

THEATRE

The acclaimed theatre artist Mikel Murfi completes his masterpiece trilogy chronicling small-town Sligo through the wanderings of cobbler Pat Farnon. U.S. premiere of The Mysterious Case of Kitsy Rainey, performed in repertory with The Man in the Woman's Shoes (IAC, 2015) and I Hear You and Rejoice (IAC, 2018).

Curator Aoife Scott brings together women artists in trad, folk and roots for a NYC showcase of a TradFest Temple Bar marquee event, and Niall Connolly (Big City Folk Song Club) and Anna Colliton (Traditional Irish Sessions) helm new series of free concerts in the Devlin Café at Irish Arts Center.

Seán Curran Company and Darrah Carr Dance bring Céilí, their 2022 IAC-commissioned work that performed to sold-out audiences, back to IAC following a 2023 run at Jacob's Pillow.

Fintan O'Toole asks 'What's Irish Now?' in a special lecture and Q&A; the cast and crew of the 2023 Academy, BAFTA and IFTA award-winning short An Irish Goodbye join us for a screening and talkback; Man Booker Prize-winning novelist Anne Enright celebrates her latest publication; and more.

VISUAL ARTS

A building-wide solo show from Northern Irish painter Colin Davidson, featuring his poignant exhibition Silent Testimony—including the unveiling of an IAC-commissioned portrait of Senator George Mitchell, architect of the Good Friday Agreement—and selected paintings and drawings.
