From: International Ballet TheatreWelcome To Our 24th Season!
Inspired and Strengthened By Our Dancers, Faculty, and Community
It is with immense joy that the International Ballet Academy extends a warm welcome to our 2024-2025 Academic Season dancers, faculty and community!
As IBA nears a quarter century, we continue to evolve and draw inspiration from the community we have fostered for over two decades. Together, we strive to fortify our connections and elevate our mission to support our dedicated artists and the arts within our community. As we continue to build this creative commitment to the art of dance, we propel our academy and company into the future.
Welcoming Our Tenured & New Faculty Members
The IBA is inspired by the wonderful artists that have been a part of our academy over the years. Many of our faculty members began their IBA journey with us from the very beginning. As we reflect on these 24 years, it is rewarding to see the legacy and impact we have nurtured through the arts across numerous generations, helping artists in the Eastside become artists on stage and inspiring human beings in our society.
As we begin our new year, IBA welcomes to our faculty and company, three former dancers who proudly represent the success of our journey. We are honored to have them return to IBA and share their knowledge and experience from the professional world with our students.
Please join us in welcoming Nikita Baryshnikov, Ryan Burton, and Emma Neilson!
We can’t wait to see these passionate artists join our experienced faculty continuing our intentional effort to bring academic excellence and an inspiring setting for all our dancers and community.
IBT’s New Productions Season 24/25
Experience The Captivating Performances of IBT’s new exciting productions!
In addition to our annual production of Dracula and The Nutcracker, IBT is exited to announce Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as a new IBT For Children production. With it also comes the return of our beloved production of Don Quixote for our spring performance.
Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs
This production is centered around themes of love, friendship, witchcraft, and the timeless struggle between good and evil, rendering it an ideal story for a classical ballet adaptation.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs offers our dancers that chance to showcase their prowess through classical and character roles centering on Snow White and her seven companions, who valiantly safeguard the young princess from the clutches of the malevolent Queen.
Don Quixote
BRAVADO! HEROISM! ROMANCE! ILLUSION! These qualities permeate the fanciful tale of Don Quixote – a brave Spanish Conquistador obsessed with medieval chivalry who imagines himself to be a knight errant.
Along with his faithful servant, Sancho Panza, Don Quixote searches for his mythical love, Lady Dulcinea. Marius Petipa choreographed this unusual ballet at the height of his career, and it premiered at the Bolshoi Theatre in 1869. IBT honors the ballet in its traditional style, with vibrant costumes and fiery Spanish flavor transform this implausible story into a richly entertaining and unforgettable experience.
