DES MOINES - Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart issued the following statement regarding Randy Feenstra’s vote to cut Medicaid and SNAP and make life more expensive for Iowans:

“As Iowans struggle with the second-slowest economic growth in the country and rising prices, Randy Feenstra is making problems worse. The Washington mega tax bill will drive up the cost of groceries and health care for regular Iowans with the biggest cuts to Medicaid and food assistance in history while still taking on $3.8 trillion in new debt to give tax breaks to the well-off and well-connected. Randy is on the side of DC insiders and partisans, not Iowa.”
