Winter is the perfect season to delve into the vital roles and responsibilities of the dedicated crew stationed at our very own Point Allerton Coast Guard Station.
BMC Blaine Gallagher, Executive Petty Officer, brings a wealth of experience from his distinguished career. His service includes three afloat tours in ice-breaking operations across our northern regions, conducting buoy operations on the West Coast, and performing tactical ship escorts and search-and-rescue missions along the East Coast.

Hull No Place for Hate along with Wellspring will be once again sponsoring a day of remembrance and community service in honor of MLK Jr. There will be a food drive at Wellspring Multi-Service Center along with a program of short readings, music and community involvement. Please spread the word among your family and friends. All are welcome to drop in and drop off food donations between 10-11:30 am.

Retired Air Force Lt. Col Mike Davison will be leading this three-hour workshop as we craft our own "Comfort Birds." Originally conceived as a small wood carving that can fit in the palm of one's hand, these sweet birds are often made as a token of affection and support for a loved one in need.
This workshop is limited to 15 students so make sure you sign up now. You won't want to miss this opportunity to create your own personal comfort bird.

Progress on the Boathouse Historic Renovation
It has been a long time coming! 2024 has been a year of fantastic progress on the historic renovation of the former Point Allerton Boathouse. The exterior of the building is being restored to its appearance in 1964. The interior is being transformed into a fully functional boat building and repair shop and event space. Here are some photos of recent progress with notes:

The Hull Lifesaving Museum's signature rowing race, the Snow Row will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the very tip of Hull's peninsula. With its one-of-a-kind LeMans-style start, the race covers a 3 3/4 mile triangular course starting and ending off the beach at our Windmill Point Boathouse.
