Build Your Community at HLM
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new interactive exhibit, Build Your Community, featuring iconic people and places around our town created by Rob Littlefield of Hull! Inspired by the renowned Smithsonian Exhibit: Museum on Main Street which was supported by Mass Humanities, this exhibit is not just a tribute but also a fundraiser for our institution. Join us in celebrating the blend of history, art, and community by adding your business to this exhibit.
HLM Welcomes New Artifact to the Station
An exciting new artifact is now on view in the Station boat room: a Francis Metallic Lifecar. The Lifecar is on long-term loan to us from The Nantucket Shipwreck & Lifesaving Musem. Many thanks to the Daley & Wanzer crew for delivering the lifecar to our boat room.

Sea & Sky Juried Art Show ~ It's a Wrap
Our 27th annual Sea & Sky Juried Art Show celebrating the beauty of our coastal environment and the richness of the artistic community on the South Shore and beyond is now closed. This year we fielded the largest number of submissions ever with brisk sales. We thank all the artists who participated and the many visitors who came to admire their work and perhaps bring home a treasured memory to add to your collection supporting local artists at the same time. See you again next winter.
Memorable Linda Greenlaw Presentation in Hull
A sold-out audience filled the Memorial Middle School auditorium in Hull as Linda Greenlaw, best-selling author, but more importantly swordfishing boat captain, regaled us with stories of her adventures at sea and her love of Downeast Maine. The afternoon lecture was followed by an intimate reception at the Lifesaving Museum with catering provided by Jimmy O'Brien of Jake's Seafood Restaurant. Her easy-going, approachable personality made us all feel like she was a hometown girl. Our thanks to Linda for making the journey from Isle au Haut. The welcome mat will always be out for your return.
